Rev. Christa Springstead has served United Methodist churches throughout Hampton Roads since 2010 and is delighted to be serving as pastor of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. A graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Religion and Duke Divinity School with a Master of Divinity, Christa is passionate about helping people explore Scripture, discover where God is already at work in their lives, and find a place of genuine belonging in the Body of Christ. Her ministry is deeply relational, grounded in grace, and shaped by a love for people who have ever wondered whether there is really a place for them in the church.

Christa believes some of the best ministry happens through honest conversation, shared laughter, and simply doing life together. She loves learning people's stories and helping churches dream about creative ways to love their neighbors and share the good news of Jesus Christ. She and her husband, David, a gifted musician, are the proud parents of their son, Davey, and their family also includes Walt, a much-loved black Goldendoodle. Together, they love Disney World, musical theater, music, and church life.

When she's not preaching, visiting, or dreaming up her next church idea, Christa can usually be found surrounded by colorful pens, plants, and an impressive amount of Diet Coke. She is excited to become part of the Ebenezer family and the greater Suffolk and Carrollton community, and she looks forward to doing life, growing in faith, and discovering what God will do next together.
