Doug Shomaker

Director of Music Ministries

Doug Shomaker is a graduate of James Madison University (BM Ed in music education) and has taught public school music in Virginia and North Carolina. He has directed church choirs in Richmond and Virginia Beach before coming to Suffolk.

When not teaching or directing the Chancel Choir at Ebenezer, he enjoys boating, fishing and camping. He enjoys reading and watercolor painting and playing with his dog Lacy.

Doug has one son, Justin Matthew Shomaker.
